KHANQUAH

The Khanqah of Tripoli is a historic building in Lebanon, built in 1467 AD for Muslim mystics. It has an open courtyard, pool, and rooms with raised platforms (iwan) around the courtyard. Currently, it is home to some widows. Similar constructions can be found in Islamic countries like Egypt.
